Started the day with a walk through the “Famous” Temple Bar area …

No temples or bars were open at this early hour so we decided to head off to Dublin Castle

The museum was great very informative and interactive. We didn’t notice the time fly …. But our stomachs told us it was nearly lunch time.

The Guinness storehouse was our next stop… Faiza was tipsy just thinking about it!

Despite the hefty price to visit this place it was quite enjoyable and informative. 7 stories of interesting facts…food…and of course Guinness tasting… Yep even Faiza had a full pint of this dark liquid
Faiza enjoyed it so much that she accidentally took a souvenir home…. Oops!!

Stumbling out of the Guinness Storehouse (well Faiza did anyway After all she had 1 pint of Guinness and beef and Guinness stew which tipped her over the edge)….Faiza decided she wanted a tattoo

…..excitedly
I willingly took her to a tattooist ….I didn’t notice however that she was having palpitations at the thought of it… so we lied to the guy saying we would be back later ….
Then we found a lovely little restaurant for dinner

and then we finished the night off watching / listening to some live traditional Irish music … Faiza wanted to get up and do her version of Riverdance …

The Emerald Isle

Headed back to Holyhead with a quick stop back at Llanfair (that long named place) to get our passports stamped (why … because we could!).

The name means: [St.] Mary’s Church (Llanfair) [in] the hollow (pwll) of the white hazel (gwyngyll) near (goger) the rapid whirlpool (y chwyrndrobwll) [and] the church of [St.] Tysilio (llantysilio) with a red cave ([a]g ogo goch).

Once at Holyhead ferry port we farewelled our faithful Kia steed and boarded the “Swift” Irish Ferry … in club class (with a window seat and everything) for a two hour trip to Dublin, we were pleased to find complimentary nibbles and drinks (even some gluten free).

Dublin …ahhh..reminds us of London…which reminds us of Sydney ..very multicultural and very expensive! haven’t really heard an Irish accent yet! but heard almost every other language.
