We started the morning with the hotel breakfast …was a great feast with a choice of asian European and western style food or a combination of all…even the coffee wasn’t too bad. On the bus to Tienemen square (the words stand for heaven + peace + gate) and the Forbidden City which sits behind the Tienemen gate and was forbidden for the commoners to enter it. Only the Emperor and Elite scholars. Our guide was very informative and gave us a lot of interesting history.
We stopped at a restaurant and had a great lunch.
On to a silk factory…couldn’t resist a nice silk quilt and cover.
Our last stop today was at the zoo to see the Pandas.
Tonight’s dinner of Peking duck was nice but not quite as good as lunch
After dinner, as an optional extra, we went to see the Kung Fu show at the Red Theatre.
