Queenstown to Glenorchy to Arrowtown.
We made it to Glenorchy..gateway to LOTR sites..
Diamond Lake
And we found Paradise..
and something lurking in the forest. ..is it a Hobbit? ?
Arrowtown is a cute little town. it was busling with the gold rush in 1800s.
We decided to stay here to nite
Arrowtown gaol where you need a key to get in
The gaol was last used in 1987 to settle some hoodlums at a new yrs eve party

A very wet morning in Milford Sound so no trekking for us. Instead we made our way to Queenstown
Think majestic mist covered mountains. ..waterfalls galore, lakes, lush rain forests and twisting rivers with white rapids…that was our journey back from the Sounds to Te Anau.
Luckily the drive from Te Anau to Queenstown was drier..with more stunning views
we checked in at our hotel at Queenstown and then walked through the town…very touristy. .and bigger than Christchurch
Dinner at Ivy and Lolas Kitchen and Bar was great
