Last day in Rome

We wanted to make the most of our last day in Rome so when we saw the long lines to buy tickets for the Vatican museum and Sistine chapel we decided to enlist the help of “skip the line” agency, then we went straight in!

Sistine chapel

The museum was amazing. You can spend the whole day there and still not see it all. A multitude of paintings statues artefacts…just so many to see and so much history to grasp

Each room had a different design on the ceiling

A lot of naked/ semi naked statues everywhere…of men

In the afternoon with yet another long line to the Colesseum to contend with, we decided to skip the line again, this time with “fun tours”

The guides were good and informative but we still waited in line for the Colesseum.

Then onto the Roman Forum and Plantine Hill with a different guide.
