With much anticipation we arrived at The Valley of the Kings … only to be told on arrival “No photos are allowed to be taken anywhere” … not wanting to push our luck with the guys carrying machine guns we decided to comply …
So here are some photos of the photos we bought … the colours inside the tombs were quite bright, almost vibrant in some places.
We then made the short trip to The Temple of Hatshepsut, it is not only a memorial temple that honors Queen Hatshepsut, it is also one of the greatest Egyptian architectural achievements.

Located on the west bank of the Nile, opposite the city of Luxor (ancient Thebes), Hatshepsut’s temple is part of the Theban Necropolis. Built in a half circle of cliffs, this memorial temple marks the entrance to the Valley of the Kings.
The last part of our tour today was to The Valley of the Queens, again we were not permitted to take photos inside the tombs, but at least we could snap a couple outside.

One last pit stop for a quick happy snap at The Colossi of Memnon … then back to the ship before our flight back to Cairo.
